iGoogle - What are you doing ?

I have been using the iGoogle functionality for a few years now and love it. I have my "personalised" homepage instantly ready with my news feeds to keep my techie "l33t"ness status well L33t :) Upon procuring a net book recently, I duly set my iGoogle interface up, only to notice this little "home" tab appearing on the left side .. OK, no worries, I'll just go into my settings and turn it.....OH .. wait .. where is the "turn off this annoying fucking tab" button .. its not there.

I have always liked the way Google have operated in the past .. Allowing us to "turn off" certain features of their software etc .. but there now seems to be a new tactic. Its called STFU you will like it !!! Searching about I cannot find any decent way to make this annoying space stealer go away .. I want my 3 Cm's of screen back please Google and I want it NOW and I don't want to have to "hack my registry" or DL some bloatware tool to do it .. An enable/disable button will do nicely.

  1. Eh? I clicked the little down arrow on the right end of it, and chose "Delete this tab" and it went away just fine. Not working for you?

  2. Hi there,

I did try that and messed around with various settings, but cant find a "clean" way to remove it. I used to be able to change the language settings from US to UK but alas that doesnt work anymore either :(
